Not sure how much I can be involved since I not only moved to MPI but also to a new (well, not really new .. I worked on this a while back) field of work (land-surface modeling). I'll still be involved in the detection/attribution topic, through a contract I have with Pacific Northwest Labs and also through a project at MPI funded by the German government. I'm also in a palaeo working group at MPI, so I'd think that I can be involved in SOAP somehow. BTW, because of the possible problems this might cause in Brussels regarding intermixing MAD and MPI, please take out my name from Part C in the list of institutions. Part B ------ 1) In the introduction you still make mention of partners 10,11,12 etc ... I are probably aware of this but I wanted to make sure we don't have left-overs from the INTEGRATE proposal 2) The same is true for the description of WP4 in the introduction where the old workpackage numbers are referred to 3) Regarding deliverables and milestones wrt WP2 and WP4 I'd think that we can just take those from INTEGRATE (D2, D3, D7, D9, D10, D12, D13, D16). Although, on second thinking, we're probably going to have more deliverables accounting for the regional work by the new partners 5-7, and probably GKSS ... but I'd leave that to those partners, I think MAD should be written up for those tasks that were MPI and GKSS combined in INTEGRATE, esp. since MAD is going to be leading WP4. Here are the person-months I suggest for MAD: WP2: 11 mo WP4: 24 mo WP5: 1 mo Cheers, Reiner -- Dr. Reiner Schnur , phn: +49 40 41173-379 fax: +49 40 41173-173 Max-Planck-Institut fuer Meteorologie Bundesstr. 55 20146 Hamburg Germany
