We have applied for some support from the Wolfson for ZICER. Lord Wolfson has very strong views, and makes these views clear at the Trustees meeting when funding is to be approved. He appears to rely on ES to be his eyes & ears. She was very helpful to us &, I think, wants to make sure that we ring the maximum number of bells. Altho we had been asked to emphasise "physical sciences" before, ES has now asked us to provide some material on "health-related" work which will go on in ZICER, including that related to climate change. (this was something of a surprise to me, but Lord W is very interested in health) (Some observations from her - he is "sympathetic to work on malaria", is "less sympathetic to HIV-Aids" (but i'm sure we can talk just about immune systems!)). Please can I ask you to orchestrate 3 or so pages on health-related work, that we can justifiably bring under the ZICER banner. This is clearly all relevant work which is planned for the 4 centres (including Graham Loomes health decision stuff; env-climate change/LSHTM etc, yours, Graham B's, Robins. etc & the links we have/developing with HAP/MED - "health risk centre" , links with NNUHT, etc etc. Sorry for the chore, but this is important. Suggest it would be a good idea to include ref to a few key papers. End of week please. (Clear advantage to put in a few trailers for wider UEA work in the future). Thanks Trevor
