     I am asking on behalf of Dr. Jesse Smith if you would have the
time and interest to review a manuscript for SCIENCE?  The paper is
titled "Timescale-Dependent Northern Hemisphere 2000-year Temperature
Reconstruction" from Anders Moberg and colleagues. I have attached the
title page and abstract to this e-mail as a pdf file.  Please let me
know if you have any trouble opening or printing it.

     We ask that the review be completed within two weeks.  If you are
able to review the  paper, we will send it electronically.  If you are
not able to review the manuscript, any suggestions of other appropriate
