date: Thu, 11 Oct 2001 17:43:06 -0400 from: Edward Cook subject: New Oroko Swamp results to: Keith Briffa Hi Keith, You are the first to receive a figure showing the Dec-Feb temperature reconstruction from Oroko Swamp tree rings, using Hokitika data for calibration and verification. The plot I am sending you compares the previous reconstruction, in a paper now in press, based on much less data and "classic" detrending methods vs. the new one based on RCS. The minimum sample size per year is 17 radii, with most over 30. So, I think that the low-frequency features in the new reconstruction are "real". I plan to send these results to GRL soon.
