Comments should be sent by email to . Participation of authors of the 3 volumes of the IPCC TAR in the review of the Synthesis Report is very important. Your feedback is necessary to assure that the Synthesis Report is consistent with the findings of the TAR. If /where we have gone astray, we need you to tell us and to recommend how to revise so that the synthesis is made consistent with the TAR. Just as importantly, comments that indicate your concurrence with important points made in the Synthesis Report are needed. You should have received a copy of the Synthesis Report in early April. But for your convenience you can obtain a copy of the report from: http://www.metoffice.com/sec5/CR_div/ipcc/wg1/drafts/IPCCSynthesisReport.pdf I also have a announcement to make. I have been offered and have accepted the position of Science Director of the AIACC project (Assessment of impacts of and adaptation to climate change). This is the project that IPCC helped initiate and that was funded by the Global Environment Facility for the purpose of building capacity in developing countries to assess climate change impacts and adaptation. The project is being implemented by UNEP and executed by START and the Third World Academy of Sciences. I will continue to direct the WGII TSU till the completion of the Synthesis Report - while simultaneously getting the AIACC project up and running. I have medium confidence that I will retain my sanity during this period. Best wishes, Neil Neil A.
