Harry & Phil,

good news: the new version of precip that you've made, Harry, now has a
good match with CRU TS 2.1 in terms of temporal standard deviation and
correlation.  Cheers for that.  I've plotted a few example monthly
anomalies and they look ok too.

Hopefully that's precip now ok.

Which means wet-days can be recreated, since it uses precip to make
estimates in some regions.  Don't forget to set the permissions on the
'secondaries' subdirectory on /cru/cruts/ when you're ready for me to look
at wet-days.
