Nobre is Carlos Nobre, although he has a brother called Paolo who's also in the science. It is likely Carlos though and he doesn't contribute that much, but is well thought of in S. America. OK re John, it would be prudent to ask him for something as you say. Thanks for your busy schedule. I'll be back about July 7,8 or 9 full time. I doubt that too much will happen in late June and July, but making a few contacts at your meetings will be useful. I have a couple of meetings with the HC before I move, so I'll sound out Chris Folland to see what his group can do beyond what David Parker will do. The Jury service sounds a pain. I've been called a couple of times over the last 10 years but managed to get out of it both times. I just said I had meetings to go to (which was true once), the second I said the new students were coming in late September. The fact that I have little to do with U/Gs didn't seem to matter. Have a good few weeks and I hope the move goes well. We're be packing all weekend. Cheers Phil At 18:23 10/06/2004 -0600, you wrote: Hi Phil I was out today away from NCAR so this is from home. Some quick reactions to your comments and extra notes of my own problems at the end. I see we finally have contact with Brian Soden via a new email address I found. Back late thursday, off again sunday for Baltimore for the CLIVAR conference, all week and into next week for the CLIVAR SSG mtg. Back late 29th, close on new house on 30th, move on 2 and 6 July. Called up for Jury duty 6-30 July for State of CO (I am trying to wiggle out) and I have 3 mtgs in July. I am trying to limit my roles in all 3 but better a scientific mtg than jury duty. Likely to be in Aspen 11-14 july (should be whole week), at NCAR rest of July but with NCAR summer colloquium for over a week and I am principle lecturer (on climate and health), and then last week of July I lecture in the NWS weather forecasting training program (only one day) but don't tell the Jury people that. Anyway, First part of july I will be moving house and on vacation if I can be. Cheers Kevin --------------- Kevin E.
